Qualification : A degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial/ and Production Engineering from a University or Institution established by law in Uttar Pradesh or from any other institution recognized by State Government or a degree or diploma recognized as equivalent thereto by the State Government. OR Degree in Examination  Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial/Industrial and Production Engineering conducted by any of the Universities in India incorporated by any act of the Central/State Legislature or by UGC. OR Section "A" and "B" of the Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India). Note: Candidates, appearing in final year Exams may also apply but final year marksheet & Degree/Provisional Degree for passing the final Exams must be submitted at the time of interview otherwise candidate shall not be allowed to appear in interview and their candidature shall be cancelled.

Age : 21-30 Yrs

Pay Scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100

Placement:The selected candidates for the post of Assistant Engineer(Trainee) shall undergo for minimum one year training. They shall be posted at a location within the Nigam after successful completion of training. The job however is transferable and successful Candidates, during their service tenure, can be placed in any of the functions at any power station i.e. Anpara, Obra (Sonebhadra), Panki (Kanpur), Harduaganj (Aligarh) & Parichha (Jhansi)/ corporate office of the Nigam or at positions in the joint venture & subsidiary companies of UPRVUNL in accordance with the rules & regulations of UPRVUNL.

Bond: The amount of Rs. 3.00 lacs for the post of Assistant Engineer for the period of 5 years shall have to be submitted at the time of joining by the candidates.

Examination Centre & Selection Process:-Selection Processes  will be based on written Test (Computer Based Test) CBT and Interview. Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held at Agra. Allahabad. Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Varanasi & Greater Noida cities U.P. Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd., however, have the right to cancel any of the Examination city/Center and/or add some another Cities/Centers depending upon the requirement, administrative feasibility, or any force-majeure conditions etc.

Fee : Candidates Can Pay The Fee of Rs. 1000 For General /OBC Candidates and Rs. 700 For SC/ST. The Fee Can Pay through CRFS.

About UP Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd.

Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) was constituted on dated 25.08.1980 under the Companies' Act 1956 for construction of new thermal power projects in the state sector. The first Thermal Power Station constructed by UPRVUNL was Unchahar Thermal Power Station of 2X210 MW capacity and it was transferred to NTPC on dated 13.02.1992. On dated 14.01.2000, in accordance to U.P. State Electricity Reforms Acts 1999 and operation of U.P. Electricity Reforms Transfer Scheme 2000, U.P. State Electricity Board, till then responsible for generation, transmission and distribution of power within the state of Uttar Pradesh, was unbundled and operations of the state sector thermal power stations were handed over to UPRVUNL.
